Fall Youth Convention

Fall Youth Convention is a two-day event hosted by the Iowa Ministry Network, bringing together youth groups from across Iowa for a weekend centered around Jesus.
Students will experience powerful worship, impactful messages, meaningful time connecting with other students, and plenty of fun along the way.

Cost & Registration
Total Cost: $160 per student
The total registration cost includes:
- $85 for Fall Youth Convention registration (collected by IMN)
- $75 for transportation, hotel stay, and meals
Initial Deposit
A $25 deposit per student is required upon registration.
Deposit due: Sunday, October 11, 2026
A fundraising opportunity will take place before the remaining balance is due. Students must participate in the fundraiser in some capacity to receive a portion of the funds raised.
Depending on the amount raised, a student’s remaining balance may be partially or fully covered.
After fundraising is complete, parents/guardians will be notified of the remaining balance owed for their student(s).

Scholarship assistance will also be available for families who may need additional financial support.

Fundraising
New Life Youth will offer a fundraising opportunity to help students reduce the cost of attending Fall Youth Convention.
- Students must participate in the fundraiser in some capacity to receive a portion of the funds raised.
- Fundraising may partially or fully cover a student’s remaining balance.
- The specific fundraiser and additional details will be communicated to students and families.
Travel Schedule
Friday, November 20
3:15 PM – Student drop-off opens at New Life Church
- Students must arrive no later than 3:35 PM.
- A sack meal will be provided.
3:50 PM – Depart New Life Church for the Des Moines area
7:00 PM – FYC Session 1
9:00 PM – FYC After-Party
11:00 PM – Return to hotel and check in
Saturday, November 21
8:00AM – Breakfast at hotel
9:00 AM – FYC Session 2
12:00 PM – Lunch on-site
2:00 PM – FYC Session 3
4:00 PM – Depart for New Life Church
- Parents/guardians will be notified of our estimated arrival time when we depart.
6:00–6:30 PM (approx.) – Arrive at New Life Church
What Should Students Bring?
Students should pack:
- One outfit for Saturday
- Pajamas
- Drawstring bag or small backpack
- Toiletries, including toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.
- Bible, notebook, writing utensil
- Spending money, if desired, for event merchandise and Jordan Creek Mall
- Speed The Light contribution money, if desired
Please make sure all personal belongings are clearly identifiable.
Supervision & Safety
Students will be supervised throughout the trip by New Life Youth leaders.
All New Life Youth volunteers have completed background checks and have received instruction regarding appropriate personal and digital communication with students.
Leaders are assigned to students of the same gender.
Parents and guardians will also complete participation, transportation, medical authorization, liability acknowledgment, and other required permissions as part of the registration process.

Medications & Medical Information
Parents and guardians should provide all requested medical and medication information during registration. Any medications being brought on the trip must be disclosed during registration and handled according to New Life Youth’s medication procedures. Please provide accurate and complete information so our leaders can care for your student well throughout the trip.

Who can attend Fall Youth Convention?
Fall Youth Convention is open to New Life Youth students in grades 7–12.

When do students need to arrive on Friday?
Student drop-off begins at 3:15 PM on Friday, November 20.
Please drop-off students by no later than 3:35 PM so we can depart promptly at 3:50 PM.
When will students return?
We anticipate returning to New Life Church at approximately 6:00–6:30 PM on Saturday, November 21.
Parents and guardians will be notified of our estimated arrival time when we depart the Des Moines area.
Where is Fall Youth Convention being held?
Fall Youth Convention will be held at the Horizon Events Center in Clive, Iowa.
Where will students stay overnight?

Will students be supervised?
Yes. Students will be supervised by New Life Youth leaders throughout the trip. Our volunteers have completed background checks and received instruction regarding appropriate personal and digital communication with students.
Can my student bring spending money?
Yes. Students may bring optional spending money for event merchandise and Jordan Creek Mall.
Students may also bring money if they would like to contribute to **Speed The Light** during Fall Youth Convention.
