Serve RAGBRAI
July 23 | Lon's Plumbing and New Life Church
On July 23, thousands of cyclists will roll through Reinbeck as part of RAGBRAI, and New Life Church has an incredible opportunity to show the love of Jesus through simple acts of kindness.
This year, we’re looking for volunteers to help us serve throughout the day as we welcome riders to our community. Funds raised through our refreshment stand will go toward Kingdom Builders, helping support global missionaries, local missions projects, and outreach within our own community.
How We’re Serving
Fresh Fruit & Hydration
We’ll have a booth at Lon’s Plumbing & Heating on Main Street, where we’ll be offering cold, fresh fruit and hydration multiplier drinks to help riders refuel for the miles ahead. Purchases made at this location will help support New Life Church’s Kingdom Builders ministry.
Cooling Station
At our New Life Church building, we’ll be creating a fun cooling station where cyclists can ride through sprinklers in our parking lot to cool off before continuing their journey.
How You Can Help
There are plenty of ways to serve, including:
- Preparing supplies before the event
- Setting up our serving locations
- Handing out fruit and drinks
- Greeting and encouraging riders
- Assisting at the sprinkler cooling station
- Tearing down and cleaning up after the event
- Whether you can serve for a short time or throughout the day, we’d love to have you on the team.
